Cerenion awarded third patent on its C-TREND® technology in China
The National Intellectual Property Administration of the P.R.C. (CNIPA) has awarded Cerenion its third patent on C-Trend® technology in China. For the C-Trend EEG analysis software, this patent is the eleventh globally.
The patent gives a strong protection to the C-Trend Index algorithm, a core component of Cerenion's C-Trend technology. This algorithm processes EEG signals, transforming them into a single numerical value, the C-Trend Index. This index provides a concise measure of a patient's EEG slow wave activity, a fundamental aspect of a healthy brain, typically observed during periods of sedation and deep sleep.
Cerenion's C-Trend technology has successfully secured several patents in the United States, the European Union, Japan, and China, and multiple applications for intellectual property rights have been initiated on a global scale.
